I wouldn't even rate this company as a 1 star after our encounter with them.. We rented a novelty cake Tin for 5 plus 20 deposit which is fine due to the fact of damages now when we collected the item the gentleman told us the do's and don'ts which we were happy with as yes its not our they have thier rules one of these rules were not to put in a dishwasher( we don't have one so it's fine as we told him). We used it then we washed it and we did the same again. Now after washing it for the last time the tin was in the same state as what we picked it up as ( Just angry at ourselves for not taking a photo when we collected). The following day we had to take it back as it was the only day we were free so upon returning it no more that 5 seconds after taking it out of my hands the lady straight away said it had been through a dishwasher when stating we hadn't got one we were told that she had got it down and it was fine and that it's been through a dishwasher. When telling her repeatedly we don't have one her mind was set that it had and we weren't getting our deposit back because of it. The lady then said she would ask the gentleman what the condition was and contact us after she had spoke to him. We decided until we were contacted we were going to keep the tin with no extra charges she agreed.monday comes no call Tuesday comes still no call Wednesday it's reached 1pm still no call so I ring to speak to her about the situation and to find what the next steps are when she realised it was about this tin she mentioned again the dishwasher and said her gentleman colleague confirmed it was in as they put it like new condition. Now after stating I wasn't happy and giving my conclusion I decided to say that I will be leaving bad feedback to then hear a male voice come on the phone to tell me exactly what we had spoke about now my idea of this situation is that they wanted a new tin and decided to use us as bait to get that who knows. I then said that I think we can agree to disagree to my shock is that as what we first though weren't listening as just like earlier stating we don't have a dishwasher he then stated we are at a stalemate. I then said yes like I said we can agree to disagree and then said I wouldn't be dealing with them again my advise is go deal with the same person from start to finish
I get all my cake boards, boxes, dowels, piping bags, colours and powders from here every time, as well the occasional cookie cutters, xmas decorations, sprinkles, cellophane, etc. - they have a huge amount of stock. All the staff are really helpful and friendly. It's always a pleasure to do my cake shopping here. Thanks!
So I've just finished reading the post about the cake tins from angel cake.l used these tins for all my party:s and I never had a bad word to say about the service from the staff or the owner.And I've always been told how to clean the tins or I was given a paper with instructions on .so if you have messed up stop pointing the finger at angel cake .just hold your hands up and have done with
I went to buy a cake board yesterday but came away with lots of helpful and friendly advice as well as the board! I mentioned that sometimes I couldnt get into town before they closed so Angie said to call and shed either stay open a bit later or leave the item with another stall holder. Ive been coming to this shop for years and have always been happy with the service, choice and availability of products and the prices. Cant rate them highly enough.
I have been using this company for many years and always found them to be very fair and welcoming to hear that one person has had a bad experience is very hard to believe
