Marks & Spencer in Macclesfield is a nice store for shopping for clothes and food. The clothes on display can be more expensive than you would find in other shops specialising in clothing but then as they say, you get what you pay for. In my opinion the quality of the clothes is very good and I don't mind paying a bit extra. I bought a pair of slippers a couple of years ago and the quality was first class. The same applies to the food, as the fruit and vegetables are much better than you would find in cheaper supermarkets and that also applies to their prepared meals. They have a good selection of wines but these are a little more expensive than you would pay elsewhere. The store is well set out over two floors and there is a good choice of children's and men's clothing on the upper floor. Marks & Spencer have always had an excellent no quibble returns policy and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would like to see a few more chairs where one could sit down for a few minutes.
I enjoy shopping in Macclesfield M&S - no internet shopping for me! Also having goods delivered to store is excellent.

Quick service and good simple food (soups, jackets and sandwiches) if you're looking for a straight forward light lunch. Order at the counter and food is delivered to the table.
This was the first time I had visited the Macclesfield M@S, I found it a very pleasant experience. Had refreshments in a very cool and clean cafe. The only downside was the lift was out of order and my older sister with bad knees had to walk down the stairs with some discomfort.
