Car booked for service and given time and day by Inchcape. Asked for collection time and 3.30 was accepted by them. They phoned at 2.30 to say it would be delayed until 5.00 as the workshop had delays. Went to pick up at 5pm and Mrs R was kept waiting beyond the 10 minutes intimated and eventually got the keys at 5.25. Not checked yet as to work completed and the so called free valet as it was conveniently dark by that time and then driven home one winter roads. Has the serviced been rushed in an overcommitted workshop. The family has bought 3 cars off this dealership in the last year and this is the first return for service. Not very good reward for loyalty.
I dont normally write reviews, but I feel on the occasion its needed. My car is a very unique car, its had a lot of money spent on it, but has had a problem that a few people have tried to solve previously which had gradually got worse.Im so glad that on this occasion my car was taken into VW Macclesfield, from the moment the car was dropped off to the moment it was ready I was given constant updates, a special shout out goes to John in service, the dealership had a job on there hands to find the issue and they didnt give up at all, possibly made harder by the fact the car stands out and a lot of people notice it its vital I find places that will look after the car for me, my car drives better than ever now and its booked back in again very soon for some warranty work and I can feel confident in knowing this dealership will look after my car, with the money I spend on cars its good finding people who have a passion for cars, I think when I fancy a new car Ill be definitely giving this dealership a thought!
